God appoints the leadership in every country, island, state and jurisdiction in the earth.  Are these leaders Christian conservatives?  Look around the globe and answer the question for yourself.  Whoever is in leadership positions around the world is there because God allowed it.   God places people in leadership according to His Will and His purposes.    Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, in his dream in Daniel Chapter 4, was told by the watchers in the dream, “in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men. ”   Daniel reiterates the same truth in verses 25 and 32.  God is in control in the earth.   In verse 31, the voice was heard from heaven “King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken the kingdom has departed from you!  Verse 32:  …… “until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it t...

Psalms 93:1:  The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty;  The Lord is clothed, He has girded Himself  with strength.  …… Our Lord God is clothed with majesty.  When I think of majesty, my thoughts take me to one of the portraits of the Queen of England – Queen Elizabeth II.  In the portrait that I am seeing in my mind, the Queen is sitting in her royal robe with a blue band diagonally across her chest and a crown of jewels on her head.  She definitely looks like royalty.   The verse in Psalms 93 tells us, God is clothed with majesty.  He is the majestic One.  His majesty is like no other.  I cannot begin to imagine how majestic God is.  Psalm 29:4 says His voice is full of majesty.  When the Queen of England speaks, her voice sounds dignified and proper with her British accent which adds to the dignity of her tone.  God’s voice is as the sound of many waters.  Isaiah saw the Lord sitting on a thro...

In the Gospel according to Matthew chapter 28, Matthew gave his account of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.   He said, the first day after the Sabbath – the Sabbath after Jesus’ crucifixion -  at the dawning of the day,  Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb where Jesus laid.  Instead they saw an angel, who said to them, “He is not here;  for He is risen as He said.”  “Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”    “And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, …..”  As they were going Jesus met them on the road.  They fell at His feet and worshipped Him. V9. In the Gospel according to Mark chapter 16, Mark adds that the women had brought spices to anoint Jesus’ body.  Mark repeats the same message given by the angel.  “He is risen!”  “He is not here.”  “See the place where they laid him.”  In the Gospel according to Luke chapter 24,...

God has decreed it.  In the Garden of Eden, God said to Adam, “in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die”.  Genesis 2:17.   Adam disobeyed God and ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  Adam died spiritually that day.  Esau, Adam’s son offered a sacrifice of the fruit of the ground to God.  God rejected it.  Why?  No animal was killed as His brother Abel had offered.   No blood was spilt.  The fruit came from the earth that God cursed, because of Adam’s sin.  God in His grace and mercy instituted the slaying of lambs, bulls and goats upon an altar of earth for the temporal forgiveness of sins.  In order to appease God’s wrath this ordinance was given to the people of  Israel, and to the strangers within their borders, who would embrace this sacrificial offerings for the forgiveness of sins.  Note the word “sins”.  The annual sacrifices could only atone for sins co...

Valentine’s Day 2016 is gone.  It’s over.  It’s forgotten.  We are now on to Easter Eggs and all things yellow. Easter has been taken over by the secular world.  For a great many, outside and inside of Christendom, Easter is about eggs.  Easter has also been relegated to children, as Christmas has been.  I have often heard mothers of adult children – inside and outside of Christendom – say “Christmas is for children”.  Some mothers have mentioned that their children are grown and gone from the home, so they are no longer interested in celebrating Christmas.  They observe the Christmas activities inside and outside of the church from the sidelines. The world system driven by the enemy of our souls, has come in and removed the focus of the Christian’s celebration of Christmas and Easter from the love of God to fun for the kids.   Yes, I understand that once pagans celebrated these dates or dates close to these celebrations with...

“ Till I come .”  Revelation 2:25   As believers in Jesus Christ, what do we have in our grasp?  We have the confession of our faith .  Let us hold onto our confession.  Our confession of our salvation:    “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10: 9, 10   “But as many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His Name.”  John 1:12. The Lord Jesus when He was here on earth on one occasion asked His disciples “….. who do you say that I am?”  “Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  Jesus said to Peter   “……On this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it”.  Matthew 16:15-18 Who is this Rock?   The Rock is Christ Jesus. 1Corinthians 10:4  The Lord Jesus was referring to Himself when He answered Peter – “On this rock I will build My church”.
