Be Ready
I n the wake of the mass killing of innocent victims at the club in Orlando, Florida; this event should have awaken us to the fact that this act of terror can happen anytime and anywhere. There was the incident last year at the church in South Carolina. This too was an act of terror. We should consider that we are no longer safe from terrorism. In this awareness, how are we to live our lives? Are we ready to meet our Lord with open arms? God forbid any of us should fall victim to this type of crime. None of us knows the date and time we will leave this earth whether by our passing or via our Savior’s coming. Therefore we are to live in a state of readiness. Luke12: 39, 40 reads: But know this that if the Master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
